Another Reality

Immersive Solutions from Training to Business.

AnotheReality is a company specialized in the development of immersive solutions for Extended Realities (XR), for simulation and training, business, and entertainment. The seminar will give an overview on several of these solutions and will also discuss what it takes, in terms of software, time, costs and people, to create them.
Some projects will then be illustrated more in detail. We will focus, in particular, on Beautiful Inside, an interactive experience using a technology for real-time body-tracking (Kinect): this digital installation, created in 2019, aimed to show the complexity of human body. A second category of case-studies includes solutions for professional training. AnotheReality has designed virtual reality training programs and learning games for different institutions, such as A2A, a company based in Milan working in the field of energy production, but also industries like BMW. Moreover, a VR training experience for law-enforcement shall be considered.
AnotheReality’s portfolio will allow us to both explore the use of XR within different professional fields and to compare the specific potentialities (or limits) of AR, VR, and MR.

Biography

Fabio Mosca

Born in 1989 in Bergamo, at the age of 3 Fabio Mosca was already grappling with videogames. He would then graduate in Computer Science Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, specializing in Videogame Design and Development. In 2014, he was among the first Italian indies to experiment with the new wave of Virtual Reality, working with clients and startups. He finally released his title, Yon Paradox, in 2016.
The same year he co-founded, as CTO, AnotheReality, a company specialized in virtual transformation and development of virtual worlds and he started to focus on technological and business strategies enabled by immersive realities, videogames, the metaverse, and their design applied to business value. He’s currently directing the development of Tennis League VR, and he’s actively involved in this field as mentor and speaker, teaching in academies and universities such as the Politecnico di Milano, IED, and Bocconi.
